Corruption – the abuse of authority for personal gain – is a major global problem. Corruption matters not least because of its established consequences for economic development, the rule of law, democratic governance, and human rights. We employ innovative methods to examine the nature of corruption in a variety of settings – including criminal justice institutions, health, and education – and to test effective preventive measures.
